The OWO is a landmark Grade II*-listed Edwardian building situated in the heart of London. Originally built in 1906 for the Ministry of Defence, this historic building has undergone a meticulous restoration. It now houses 85 unique private residences, a 120-room hotel, plus 9 restaurants and 3 bars.
DPA lighting says they have always seen lighting equipment as their art medium to produce a sharp accent of light, exposing interesting architecture with excellent colour rendering: "We specified LightGraphix for this project, and have done for many years, due to the excellent quality of product and exceptional technical manufacturing, which help us to create some stunning lit buildings with the architectural lighting tools that we use."
LD151s were used in the courtyard with narrow beams as powerful in ground uplights, for low glare illumination to the exterior walls and columns.
On the entryways, surface mounted LD10238s were used to light up exterior façade doorways, featuring 2700K colour temperatures for a warm welcome to the building.
For step lighting, LD57s we recessed into the brickwork, with an antique bronze finish to compliment the mounting surface and exterior colour palate. These fittings also feature our sustainable Replaceable Light Engine (RLE) technology, allowing the ability to repair and upgrade the LEDs, colour temp and beam angle at any stage in their lifecycle, with minimal material waste as a result.
Thank you to DPA for specifying our products.
